Treatment

Body contouring

Treatments that address shape in a defined area, offered alongside the nutritional work rather than as a way around it.

Contour and weight are different problems. Weight is metabolic and is addressed through assessment, testing and a plan. Contour is local and is what these treatments address. Confusing the two is the most common reason people are disappointed by them, so we separate them at the consultation.

What contouring is for

Most people carry one or two areas that do not respond in proportion to the rest of the body. Where overall weight and body composition are already in a reasonable place, that residual distribution is what contouring addresses.

It is cosmetic in intent, which is not a criticism — it is simply a different aim from a health outcome, and it is worth naming so that the right expectation is set.

What we offer

Each is non-invasive and each is delivered as a course following assessment.

U-Lipolysis

Ultrasound-based treatment of localised deposits in a defined area. Set out in full on its own page.

Inch-loss programmes

A combination of treatment and nutritional plan, measured on circumference and body composition rather than on weight.

Post-programme toning

For people finishing a weight programme who want to address residual distribution.

Assessment and measurement

Body composition read as fat and muscle separately, so a change is attributable rather than assumed.

Who it is not for

A course is declined at assessment for any of the following, and we would rather say so than take the booking.

  • Significant weight still to address — that is a programme, not a treatment
  • An expectation that it will change the scale
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding
  • Significant liver or kidney disease
  • Certain implanted electronic devices
  • An untreated metabolic driver, until that has been addressed

Questions we are asked

How many inches will I lose?

We do not publish a figure. A quantified outcome claim requires an audited outcome report under the ASCI Healthcare Guidelines, and ours is not complete. Your clinician will discuss what is realistic for your own assessment.

Is this the same as liposuction?

No. These treatments are non-invasive — no incision, no anaesthetic. They are not surgery and are not equivalent to it in what they can achieve.

Will I need to diet as well?

Yes, and that is not an upsell. A contour result does not hold against an unchanged dietary pattern, so the plan is part of the course.

Can I have treatment on one area only?

Usually, yes. Areas are assessed individually and a course is defined per area.

Start with the assessment. It establishes whether contouring is the right thing for you, or whether the honest answer is a programme instead.
